|MEETING POINT||Your guide will pick you up from the “FRESKO” Yogurt Bar located on 3, Dionysiou Areopagitou st. which is at the beginning of the pedestrian walkway that takes you from Hadrian’s Arch to the Acropolis.
Please be at the meeting point at 11:15 am.
This tour is a part of the tour “Athens City Tour & Acropolis” which starts earlier.
Our guide with his/her group will come to the meeting point between 11:15 am and 11:30 am the latest.
*On Good Friday (Greek Orthodox Easter) our tour starts at 12:15 pm.

A visit to the Athens Acropolis
Even if your time in Athens is limited, our Acropolis Tour will offer you an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We can give you in our guided, comprehensive tour an excellent and valuable trip to the magnificent monuments of the area.
We will enter the Acropolis from the southern side, to first visit the Ancient Theatre of Dionysus built in the 5th century BC, dedicated to the god of wine making.
As we ascend up to the Acropolis (also called the Sacred Hill), we have a lovely view of modern Athens.
Our guide will give you all the relevant information about the many monuments on and around the Acropolis:
- The famous Parthenon, the most important monument of Ancient Greek civilization, dedicated to Athena the patron goddess of Athens
- The Erechtheion, located on the most sacred part of the hill
- The Temple of Nike
- The Agrippa Monument
- The Herodes Atticus Theater, built in 160 AD is used in the Athens Summer Festival to house world famous performers creating a marvelous atmosphere which is unforgettable
- The Ancient Agora was the centre of ancient Athens – all the law courts, political meetings and juries took place here
- The Observatory
- Philopappos Hill or (Muses Hill), from where you can have a fantastic view of the Acropolis and all of Athens
- Mars or Areopagus Hill
- Pnyx Hill, where the ancient Athenians gathered for political discussions
