Mykonos Island and City Tour
Mykonos: The pearl of the Aegean Sea. An island where blue skies and whitewashed buildings paired with lovely beaches make up for lovely scenery.
We start the city – and island – tour by walking through the cobbled narrow streets which present unlimited opportunities for photographs in the early quiet morning.
Moving through the labyrinth of the old town we will learn more about the island and orientate ourselves as well as getting a glimpse of the small port and the churches. In the final stop in the walking part of the tour, we will see the iconic wind-mills and find Petros The Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos.
Then, we board the bus to visit some of the most famous and inviting beaches as well as the inner landscape of the island. Along the coast we will see fishermen, small private chapels and houses built in typical Cycladic fashion.
The tour will then take us to Ano Mera, the second biggest island of Mykonos. In this idyllic place, 6km from town, where you will have enough free time for a leisurely stroll around the traditional square and a visit to the monk monastery Panagia Tourliani which was built in the 16th century.
Next up, is Kalafatis beach, where we relax and enjoy a coffee or refreshment before heading back to town to reach a viewpoint that offers sights of the old town and neighbouring islands.
All-in-all, a half-day trip filled with lots of useful info and general views of the island of Mykonos!
